Description
We are a games research lab based in the Interactive Media MFA program in the School of Communication at the University of Miami. We seek new and novel playful experiences with an emphasis on social change.
History
Early historyThe Interactive Media MFA at the University of Miami in the School of Communication officially launched in the Fall of 2013. The NERDLab grew out of the program as a place for students to collaborate and make interesting things side by side with faculty members. The first game developed in a student/faculty partnership was Zoo Rush, but ultimately it was with Atlantis that things solidified into the lab that exists today.
